The Process of Rehydration
-
For competitive athletes monitoring their body fluid loss during exercise and replacing 100-150% of that fluid lost is crucial to rehydrating one’s body.

-
Adding in electrolytes to one’s diet - particularly after high intensity or long exercise - are important for fluid retention in the body.

-
After replacing the body’s fluid and electrolyte levels, it will naturally return to normal bodily functions including cardiac output, sweating mechanisms, etc.
